Professional Licensure Disclosures

Western New Mexico University has been approved to participate in State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements.

State Authorization

Western New Mexico University is a member of the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (SARA). SARA allows WNMU to offer online and distance education to students in other participating SARA states and territories. In addition, WNMU is working to ensure its online programs are approved in states and territories that do not yet participate in SARA. Visit our State Authorization website and click on the state where you live to learn more about which online programs are available in your state.

Programs Leading to Professional Licensure

The information below provides guidance on WNMU programs meeting the education requirements for professional licensure and represents WNMU’s determination to the best of its knowledge. WNMU has done its due diligence in determining which programs meet the educational requirements of licensure in every state and territory. WNMU will not be liable for any determination that is later found to be inaccurate. Additionally, successful completion of an WNMU program does not guarantee attaining professional licensure in any state or territory.

It has been determined that WNMU’s professional programs meet New Mexico’s state licensure requirements. If a program leading to professional licensure is listed in the document below as “Does Not Meet,” and you will be applying for licensure outside of NM, contact the appropriate licensing agency in that U.S. state or territory about licensure requirements.

Professional Licensure Disclosures

The information is updated annually and on an as-needed basis. Since laws and regulations change it is recommended that students check back regularly with the appropriate licensing board for current requirements.
